The Samburu National Reserve is located on the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro river in Kenya, on the other side of the river is the Buffalo Springs National Reserve in Northern Kenya. There is a wide variety of animal and bird life seen at Samburu National Reserve.
Accommodation:
Semi permanent tents which have beds, fresh beddings every day, hot water showers, flush toilets and toiletries.
Meals:
3 meals a day; fresh food prepared by our cook. We also offer drinking water while on safari.

3 Days Samburu Camping Safaris
Day 1: Samburu
Depart Nairobi in the Morning to Samburu at the North rugged Semi desert region, through harsh contains some of the species rarely found elsewhere e.g. Reticulated giraffes, grevy's zebra, kuchi, Beisa oryx's, Somali Ostrich, genenuk, vulturine, guinea fowl among others. Arrive in time for lunch afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Campsite.
Day 2: Samburu
Full day in Samburu with morning and afternoon game drive, optional visit to Samburu villages. Meals and overnight at the campsite.
Day 3: Nairobi
Pre-breakfast game drive, after breakfast depart for Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.

Samburu Game Reserve
Samburu a magical haven of beauty on Kenya's northern frontier home to an astonishing population of wildlife including several species unique to the region like the Reticulated Giraffe Grevy's Zebra Gerenuk and the blue legged Ostrich. The Reserve is also home to lion cheetah buffalo and look out for the shy leopard lying lazily on a tree. You will also see large herds of elephant making their way to the muddy waters of the Ewaso Nyiro River in the morning or on their way up to the hills in the evening.
Samburu offers vistas of rounded, rugged hills and undulating plains. The mix of wood and grassland with riverine forest and swamp home to a wide variety of birds. Samburu and its neighbouring Buffalo Springs has recorded over 400 species of birds. Game viewing is excellent all year round. At sunset, Doum palms form breathtaking silhouettes against the red and gold streaked sky.
